Doctor Moulineaux, after a libertine youth, lives a respectable life with his wife, Yvonne. But, giving in to old demons, he accepts a romantic rendezvous with patient Suzanne Aubin during the Opera Ball. Despite the distractions of his servant, Etienne, Yvonne discovers everything, and the doctor entrusts himself to his friend Bassinet, who arranges for him an apartment that once belonged to a seamstress. There, amidst secret and unexpected encounters, Moulineaux is swept up in a whirlwind of unexpected visitors, lies, and misunderstandings.
Plot twists, a fast pace, and overwhelming comedy transform her respectable life into irresistible chaos. Because love, when intertwined with deception, becomes pure farce.
