DÖM Space: shared spaces and a study room in Alba

Local space in via Giacosa 7/A: study room with wi-fi, cultural activities and moments of aggregation for young people and the community.

Spazio DÖM (Shared Spaces) is a local space in Alba, created to offer a shared, inclusive, and self-organized spaceopen to youth, young adults, and the "differently young," with the aim of encouraging encounters, participation, and active citizenship. The project took shape in the summer of 2022, when several local associations and volunteers brought new life to the old oratory on Via Giacosa, thanks in part to the #giovanialcentro supported by the CRC Foundation.

The space includes a study area equipped with Wi-Fi and social spaces: a relaxation area with foosball, ping pong, sofas, and a library, as well as a kitchen available for informal activities; and an outdoor courtyard with play and exercise areas. Access to the study room is free of charge (especially for students), with a dedicated educational presence and daily management entrusted to the participation of those attending.

DÖM also hosts a variety of initiatives and associations, with a calendar that alternates study hall (usually Monday, Tuesday, and Friday), game evenings, and regular events, as well as services such as the Youth Information Center. Over time, the space has also been involved in city-wide cultural events and festivals, confirming its role as a social and cultural hub in the city.
