From September 4 to 13, 2026, the Moretta Parish Oratory in Alba will once again come alive with the traditional Patron Saint Festival, ten days of gatherings, conviviality, and celebration open to the entire Alba community. This year's edition is particularly significant, celebrating the 125th anniversary of the Congregation of the Oblates of St. Joseph in Alba. Food, Wine, and Conviviality: The culinary offerings accompany the entire event with a rich gastronomic journey and themed evenings: from traditional dishes such as polenta, porchetta, and large rib, to the Iberian flavors of paella and sangria, to aperi-friciula (fried aperitif), and traditional street food featuring CÒJ specialties. Also not to be missed is the Beer Festival evening, organized in collaboration with local craft breweries Boia Fauss and De Lab. Music, Shows, and Entertainment: The oratory stage hosts a varied and engaging evening program for all ages: live music concerts, showcases for young talent, DJ sets and karaoke evenings, Lindy Hop dance shows, Caribbean rhythms with Latin entertainment, and a theatrical performance featuring the brilliant comedy by the Compagnia Teatro Moretta. The traditional "China under the Stars" and captivating performances by flag-wavers and musicians provide the backdrop. Sports, Children, and Families: Ample space is dedicated to outdoor activities and the younger ones, with oratory tournaments in soccer (the "Giancarlo Caraglio" Memorial), volleyball ("Moretta sotto rete"), and basketball, as well as the classic 7 km cycle ride open to all. The program also includes events dedicated to seniors, including the Senior Citizens' Day celebration and an afternoon of games for children, including the traditional blessing of children and backpacks in preparation for the start of the school year. Community moments and spirituality: The religious heart of the festival is marked by celebrations in honor of the Madonna and the solemn Holy Mass for the anniversary of the Oblates of Saint Joseph, followed by the historic procession through the parish streets accompanied by the "Ars et Labor" City of Alba Music Band. Throughout the festival, the Charity Bank and a children's area with inflatable games are open continuously. Patronal Feast of Our Lady of Moretta
