Written tomorrow – Tribute to Gianmaria Testa

There are artists who, after they pass away, continue to speak long afterward through their songs. Gianmaria Testa is one of them: his rough and gentle voice, his stubborn gaze toward the most vulnerable, his ability to transform the world's wounds into poetry have made him a unique figurehead in Italian and international songwriting.

In 2026, ten years after his death and twenty years after the release of Da questa parte del mare, an album entirely dedicated to the theme of contemporary migration and awarded the Targa Tenco, his thoughts and his music return to the centre of a great collective evening, to celebrate a memory that is anything but nostalgia: it is a living legacy, to be relaunched today.

WRITTEN TOMORROW – Tribute to Gianmaria Testa is a major concert, strongly supported by Paola Farinetti, Gianmaria's wife and producer, and by the municipality of Alba. The album Da questa parte del mare, performed through the voices and styles of a constellation of musicians, singers, actors, and writers who share his vision of the world.

A unique and unrepeatable event, designed to revitalize today, in a time of new fears and new barriers, that responsible gaze, that commitment, and that attention to the most vulnerable that have permeated Gianmaria's entire work. A reflection on the theme of rights and humanity, realized through the language of poetry and music.

The evening will be hosted at the Teatro Sociale "G. Busca," which will be open for the occasion, with the audience immersed in the music and lyrics. Over twenty great artists, called upon to perform the songs from Da questa parte del mare and share memories, biographical fragments, and stories of encounters with Gianmaria and the themes that permeate his songs.
