The President's Cake
9:00 PM
by Hasan Hadi (Iraq-Qat-USA 2025)
While the population of 1990s Iraq struggles to survive war and famine, all schools in the country are required to bake a cake to celebrate President Saddam Hussein's birthday. Despite her prayers not to be chosen, little 9-year-old Lamia is chosen by lot for this "prestigious" task. Together with her friend Saeed and his rooster, she will encounter a series of adventures, sometimes
adventurous, sometimes dangerous, but also comical, ultimately succeeding—perhaps.
Entry by subscription.
The **pass costs €40** and is valid for the entire festival, choosing either Wednesday or Thursday screenings for each film.
Passes are available at **Libreria La Torre, Libreria San Paolo, Libreria Milton**, and the **Cinema Moretta** before screenings.
