The 2026/2027 Core
Since 1979, "Il Nucleo" has been guiding Alba audiences through a discovery of auteur cinema and the most interesting works on the international film scene. Now in its 46th year, the historic festival organized by the Il Nucleo APS cultural association returns with 17 films, scheduled from October 2026 to February 2027. This year, screenings will be held at the Cinema Moretta in Alba, once again on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 PM.
The festival's core remains a selection focused on the quality and diversity of contemporary cinema, featuring works from major international festivals and films often difficult to find in regular local programming.
The program spans Europe, the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia, alternating established directors—including Gus Van Sant, François Ozon, Fatih Akin, and Hirokazu Kore'eda —with emerging voices and lesser-known cinema.

Entry by subscription.
The **pass costs €40** and is valid for the entire festival, choosing either Wednesday or Thursday screenings for each film.
Passes are available at **Libreria La Torre, Libreria San Paolo, Libreria Milton**, and the **Cinema Moretta** before screenings.
