Book presentation with author Paolo Vites in conversation with Helga Franzetti (Buscadero). The book is a personal and generational account of the 1970s, experienced through the rock music that defined that generation. A boomer recounts how rock was his refuge, companionship, and a tool for understanding the world and himself. The book is intended as a testament to the power of rock as an emotional, spiritual, and social language, and its ability to speak to humanity and its times. Paolo Vites has been editor of the online newspaper Ilsussidiario.net since September 2010. Previously, he collaborated with major Italian music publications, including "Buscadero" and "Mucchio Selvaggio," the American publication "On The Tracks," several national newspapers, and was editor of the monthly music magazine "JAM – Viaggio nella musica" from October 1996 to July 2009. He has interviewed leading international artists, from Paul McCartney to Patti Smith, from James Taylor to Joe Strummer, from Donovan to Sheryl Crow. He has published monographs dedicated to Bob Dylan, Patti Smith, the Clash and Cat Stevens and collaborated on the rock encyclopedias of Arcana, Editori Riuniti and Baldini e Castoldi. “BOOMER'S STORY. HOW MUSIC SAVED OUR LIVES.”.
