Alba and Pesaro, respectively Creative City for Gastronomy and Creative City for Music, have developed a collaboration project that combines cuisine and music, starting with Rossini's recipes. Gioacchino Rossini, composer and musician, loved cuisine made with quality ingredients, including the prized truffle. There are indeed many chefs in the Marche city who have been able to recreate Rossini's recipes, and it is on this common ground that the two cities have decided to meet for joint promotion and collaboration projects.
The first event took place in June 2019, at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, thanks to the direct involvement of the Italian Ambassador to UNESCO. It was also the occasion to present to the press, institutions and prominent personalities the two major events of the cities: the Rossini Opera Festival for Pesaro and the International Alba White Truffle Fair for Alba. Not only music and truffles, but also an important opportunity to jointly present the major territorial initiatives of the two cities and enhance creativity, starting from the same cooking background.
