From the earth to the plate

Tourism and awareness

The project partners, led by the City of Alba, were tourist destinations with strong naturalistic value. They shared the goal of raising awareness of the value of biodiversity for the region and for people's well-being, promoting a culture of environmental protection. The project began with food biodiversity, promoting local products and supply chains as a storytelling tool.

  • Involving the catering and tourism sectors in the promotion of food biodiversity , creating new public-private networks local and cross-border levels , capable of sharing concrete objectives for the sustainable development of the territory .

  • Increase skills and awareness of food biodiversity among operators in the tourism and food supply , promoting good practices related to the quality, seasonality, and provenance of raw materials.

  • Raise awareness among residents and visitors about the value of food biodiversity , highlighting the link between the environment, food culture, and well-being , and encouraging more careful and sustainable choices.
