The "Around Barnabas" series will explore, through lectures, meetings, and presentations, some of the themes underlying the exhibition "Barnabas from Modena to Alba. The Bergui Madonna : a Precious Gift for the City."
On Thursday 5th and Wednesday 18th November and Thursday 3rd and Wednesday 16th December, in the Alba Town Hall in Piazza Risorgimento, specialists in various research fields will explore topics such as: the cultural importance of Alba in the 14th century, ancient painting techniques and modern restoration systems, the panorama of local painting in the Middle Ages and the historical and territorial dimension of the Langhe through the centuries.
