Truffle and Rossini – Alba/Pesaro

Alba and Pesaro , respectively Creative City of Gastronomy and Creative City of Music, launched a collaborative project that unites cuisine and music, starting with Rossini's recipes. Gioacchino Rossini, composer and musician, loved cuisine made with quality ingredients, including the prized truffle. In the Marche city, many chefs have successfully recreated Rossini's recipes, and on this common ground, the two cities decided to join forces for joint promotional and collaborative projects.

The first event took place in June 2019 at the Italian Cultural Institute in Paris, thanks to the direct involvement of the Italian Ambassador to UNESCO. This was also an opportunity to present the cities' two main events to the press, institutions, and prominent figures: the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and the Alba International White Truffle Fair in Alba. Not just music and truffles, but also a significant opportunity to jointly showcase the two cities' major local initiatives, fostering creativity based on the shared foundation of cuisine.
