Alba: Participation in the "Gourmets par Nature" event with stands and conferences on food biodiversity

The "Gourmets par Nature" event organized by the French partners of La Motte-Servolex and Le Bourget-du-Lac from 11 to 16 October 2022 was an important opportunity to present the activities carried out as part of the "Biodiversità Stellata/Biodiversité Étoilée" funded by the Interreg VA France-Italy ALCOTRA 2014-2020 program.

Representing the partnership, Emanuele Bolla, Councillor for Tourism for the City of Alba, and Carlo Rosso, President of the GAL Langhe Roero Leader, had the opportunity to present the results of the initiatives carried out to the French audience.

The week's activities for children, residents, and tourists included lectures, sensory walks exploring wild herbs and fruits, cooking workshops, and a vegetable, biodiversity, and food fair with a market featuring local and Italian organic products.

In particular, the farmers' market held on Sunday, October 16, 2022, actively involved the Municipality of Alba and the GAL Langhe Roero Leader, which participated with a stand explaining the project and typical local products. Furthermore, it was possible to attend a conference on wild herbs in the kitchen, led by the "Biodiversity Narrator" Mailing Pisano, specially trained thanks to the program promoted by the Municipality of Alba in July 2022, aimed at promoting a correct sensorial narrative of biodiversity from the field to the plate.
