PUPPETS ART 2026 – XXXII edition

Thursday, June 25th: Kicking off with an event reserved for preschools, hosted by the SOL 6 Social Cooperative, and the "Purple Passion" workshop by the Bambabambin Company. Friday, June 26th: From 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm , " Alla Fiera dei Racconti " (a festival production) will be held, conceived and led by Sasa Guadalupe, with the participation of local artists and groups. This is not just a show, but an open and immersive journey dedicated to storytelling in all its forms: stories to listen to, watch, touch, read, draw, and play with. The public can arrive at any time and create their own itinerary through installations, scenic corners, play materials, puppets, costumes, books, workshops, and storytelling opportunities. At the same time , Macchina per il Teatro Inscienza by La Voce delle Cose will also be present : an installation combining art, play, and theater, a sort of self-service theater in which the audience is guided by the author's recorded voice, alternating between the roles of animator and spectator. At 9:15 pm, Koral concerto – Tutti può cantare! Forse… (a festival production), born from the encounter between the work on the Lucilla puppet and the choir of the Alba-based Kora association. At 9:45 pm, Teatro del Cacao will present SocksBeat , street theater, magic, clowning, and puppet theater on a stage space measuring just 90 centimeters. At 10:30 pm, Frontera SA by the Cuban company Teatro sobre el camino, a national premiere and aimed at an adult audience. In Frontera SA, two factions divide the world, drawing an absurd border, even dividing a man's body: a powerful, grotesque, and political image of contemporary fragmentation. On Saturday, June 27th , the Teatro del Cacao's Macchina per il Teatro Inscienza and Cenerentola will return to Via and Piazza Pertinace. In just five minutes, the performances transport audiences into a small theatrical world of kamishibai, paper theater, magic, and miniatures. The Cortile della Maddalena will once again host Alla Fiera dei Racconti , and at 9:45 pm, C'era due volte un piede (There Was a Foot Twice) by internationally renowned artist Verónica Gonzáles. In her show, feet become real puppets, capable of interpreting stories filled with rhythm, poetry, fantasy, music, and humor. From 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm, the streets of the city center will be filled with RiShow , a traveling performance by the Bambabambin Company, and Piazza Pertinace will feature performances of Macchina per il Teatro Inscienza and Cenerentola. Sunday, June 28th, the Cortile della Maddalena will close with Macchina per il Teatro Inscienza , and the return of Koral concerto – Tutti può cantare! Maybe... and, at 9:45 pm, The Legnate Merchant by the Bambabambin Company, a glove puppet show for mixed audiences, starring Harlequin. A comical, rhythmic, and intelligent story, capable of speaking directly to children and ironically to adults.
