The life of modern Western man seems hostage to constant conflicting forces: for example, while on the one hand healthy eating is celebrated, on the other we are surrounded by gratifying junk food just waiting to be devoured voraciously; or, the philosophy of body positivity and body acceptance is constantly praised, while artificial intelligence creates images of influencers with perfect curves, and gossip magazines extol the perfection of showgirls, instantly in shape after giving birth. Ever more high-performance cars are produced, yet at the same time ever more stringent speed limits are being considered. In a life as a couple, is it more appreciated to be someone who can maintain a stable and continuous relationship for a long time, or to be someone who can constantly indulge in new partners and renew their feelings and sexuality? It's our life, in which it's difficult to find a direction and often impossible to choose between ethics and aesthetics. It is, in a way, a chaos of opposites. In Corto circuito, Leonardo Manera, through monologues and contemporary characters, attempts to shed light through comedy, confronting the voice of a secular god of modernity who continually leads him into temptation.
