Thirty years of the Donat-Cattin Foundation
Screening of the documentary “FROM MEMORY TO THE FUTURE – 30 Years of the Carlo Donat-Cattin Foundation,” dedicated to the history and work of the Carlo Donat-Cattin Foundation.
The 38-minute short film, directed by Marco Aleotti and featuring Flavio Insinna , who guides viewers throughout the story, retraces the thirty years of cultural, historical, and social commitment of the Foundation, established on March 9, 1992, starting with the figure of Carlo Donat-Cattin: partisan, trade unionist, politician, several times minister and national vice-secretary of the Christian Democrats.
The story documents the Foundation's work—245 public meetings and roundtables, 20 annual study conferences, 123 book presentations, as well as exhibitions, shows, and concerts—in preserving and updating the values of social Catholicism, interpreting them in light of the transformations of Italian and international society and with an eye to the future, particularly to younger generations.
