White Night of the Bookstores

June 6, 2026 June 7, 2026

The White Night of the Bookshops is the event that takes books off the shelves and into circulation throughout the city: Alba's historic center comes alive with a program spread across bookshops and cultural spaces, creating opportunities for both lifelong readers and those who want to approach reading in a more light-hearted and participatory way.

The heart of the initiative is the meetings with authors , readings aloud , and activities for children, including workshops and family-friendly moments. Music is often a common thread, thanks to the entertainment provided by students from the Lodovico Rocca Civic Music Institute , which helps transform the festival into a convivial, strolling evening experience.

The White Night of the Bookshops is organised by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Alba , in collaboration with the “Beppe Fenoglio” Study Centre and with the support of the Bottari Lattes Foundation , confirming the link between the event and the cultural vocation of the city.
