The 23 Days of Alba
The 23 Days of the City of Alba is a celebration the city dedicates to the memory of the days when Alba was a "free zone" during the Resistance ( from October 10 to November 2, 1944 ). The calendar combines commemoration and exploration, offering a concrete opportunity to revisit local history and reflect on values such as freedom, civic responsibility, and participation.
The exhibition intertwines history and storytelling through its connection with Beppe Fenoglio and his work on the "twenty-three days," bringing together testimony, research, and dissemination in a way that is accessible to a wide range of audiences.
The initiative is promoted by the Department of Culture of the Municipality of Alba and is carried out with the “Beppe Fenoglio” Study Center , in collaboration with the ANPI Alba-Bra section and other city associations: a choral effort that brings together memory, community and culture.
In this review you can find, among other proposals:
- Ceremonies and civic events linked to the memory of the Resistance
- Meetings and historical insights (including on city sites and archives)
- Exhibitions and documentary tours curated by local institutions and archives

- Activities for schools and young people , with an educational and informative approach
To help you plan your participation, the Municipality's official channels will provide dates, locations, and program updates throughout the festival.
