"Star Biodiversity" is in its final stages: and a new project is already being considered
closing seminar of the "Biodiversità Stellata/Biodiversité étoilée" project was held in the presence of all partners at the Chamber of Crafts and Savoy Crafts in La Motte Servole. Speakers included Emanuele Bolla, Councilor for Tourism for the City of Alba, Nicolas Mercat, Mayor of Le Bourget-du-Lac, Luc Berthoud, Mayor of La Motte-Servolex, Franco Allera, Mayor of Cogne, and Isabelle Guillaud, President of the Chamber of Crafts and Savoy Crafts.
In the presence of the local French press, the activities carried out were presented , all characterized by a cross-border approach that favored the positive contamination between the experiences of the different territories: events similar in format and content (for example, "ORTOgrafia" in Alba and "Gourmets par Nature" in France), bilingual publications (for example, a guide on the use of wild herbs in cooking) and the participation of the Alba "Narrators of Biodiversity" in all the partners' events.
The conference was the opportunity to present the application under the Interreg VI-A ALCOTRA 2021-2027 Programme , which involves the City of Alba , as lead entity, Apro Formazione (currently lead entity of the "Ampelo" project financed by the Interreg VA ALCOTRA 2014-2020 Programme) and the Chambre des Métiers et de l'Artisanat de la Savoie.
"Our city intends to continue working on the topic of food biodiversity to promote awareness among local communities, especially young people," says Emanuele Bolla, Councilor for Tourism for the Municipality of Alba . " Thanks to the new Alcotra program, we plan to implement specific training, research, and awareness-raising initiatives, overseen by a cross-border technical-scientific team of professionals specialized in food biodiversity (nutritionists, agronomists, chefs, etc.). 'Biodiversità Stellata' won't change global market trends, but we have planted a seed that will only grow in the near future."
