National Coordination of Italian Creative Cities
The National Coordination of Italian Creative Cities is the informal network of 14 Italian creative cities: Alba , Bergamo and Parma for Gastronomy, Turin for Design, Biella , Carrara , Como and Fabriano for Crafts, Bologna , Bolzano and Pesaro for Music, Rome for Cinema, Milan for Literature and Modena for Media Arts.
Meetings between the network's cities are held on a regular basis, divided between institutional political and other technical events, and are aimed at sharing projects, best practices, needs, and ideas. One of the most visible projects over the years was the involvement of 11 cities in managing the Creativity Pavilions during the Annual World Meeting of Cities held in Fabriano in 2019.
The project is constantly evolving, with the aim of collaborating and promoting jointly to gain recognition at the national level by government bodies and internationally within UNESCO, thus bringing the voice of Italian Creative Cities to the highest levels.
The city of Como currently coordinates the group.
