Alba Civic Music School: training, courses, and cultural activities with concerts and events at the Maddalena Complex.
The “Lodovico Rocca” Civic Music Institute is the civic music school of the Municipality of Alba , dedicated to the promotion of musical culture and the valorization of local talents through educational activities and training courses .
Founded in 1981 by Maestro Giovanni Mosca as a branch of the “Baravalle” Institute of Fossano, the Institute became autonomous in 1982 and since 1998 has been named after the Piedmontese composer Lodovico Rocca .
Since 2014, the Institute has been located in the Maddalena Complex , in Alba's historic center: a location that allows for the integration of musical education with the city's cultural programming. For educational activities, concerts , and events open to the public , the Institute can also use the Beppe Fenoglio Hall , located in the Cortile della Maddalena.
The Institute promotes periodic initiatives and events related to music, including concert seasons and outreach activities, contributing to the cultural vitality of the city and offering opportunities for residents and visitors to participate
