In the heart of Alba's historic center, a stone's throw from the Duomo di San Lorenzo and Piazza Risorgimento, Palazzo Banca d'Alba is a historic building overlooking Via Cavour, now the bank's headquarters and a cultural space open to the city. Originally a medieval residence (known as Casa Paruzza) and remodeled over the centuries, in the 19th century it was converted into a building with shops on the ground floor and apartments on the upper floors.

The recent renovation has brought together the past and the present, bringing to light an archaeological area with Roman artifacts: beneath a glass floor, the intersection of the ancient sewer system ("cloaca maxima") and the sump can be seen, along with materials and documentation from the excavations. Next to the offices, the building houses exhibition spaces and a conference room that enliven the center with shows and events, often free of charge.

To crown the visit, the medieval tower (about 21 meters) offers a panoramic view of Alba and the Langhe.
