The Beppe Fenoglio Association for the Study Center of Literature, History, Art and Culture is promoted by the Alba to provide the city and the surrounding area with a tool for studying, researching and disseminating literary, artistic, historical and cultural traditions of the area.

The Study Center has been operating since 2003 and carries out activities aimed at safeguarding and promoting the historical, artistic, and cultural heritage in all its forms, with particular attention to the complex of literary works connected to the Alba area.

The dedication to Beppe Fenoglio indicates that the figure and work of the Alba-born writer are central to the Association's activities: Fenoglio's writings and their connection to Alba and the Langhe are at the forefront. At the same time, this centrality does not exclude other areas of research; on the contrary, it enhances and fosters them, opening the Study Center's work to further cultural themes in the region.

NB: the Antechamber of Death, a work by Pinot Gallizio that you see in the photo below, can currently be visited at the "Federico Eusebio" Civic Museum .

To access the archive, you must make an appointment at the Study Center's headquarters in Alba. You will need to fill out a specific form and sign the consultation regulations. You will also need to have an identity document.

The Study Center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and Mondays.
