The Library's small exhibitions: Colorful Vibrations
The exhibition can be visited during the Library's opening hours (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00-12:30 and 14:00-18:00; Thursday 9:00-13:30 and 14:00-19:00; Saturday 9:00-12:30; closed Mondays and public holidays).
From Saturday 18 April to Friday 8 May the “Giovanni Ferrero” Civic Library in Alba will host the exhibition Colourful Vibrations by Renata Murgasova.
On display are around fifteen works by the artist of Slovakian origin who paints in oil on canvas, wood and tiles (the ones used for the roofs of the farmhouses of Langa).
His works are characterized by the use of warm colors, such as autumnal red and yellow, and cool colors, such as blue, purple, and green, in a succession of vibrations that speak to the senses and create a bond between the person creating the painting and the observer.
Renata Murgasova's favorite subjects are the landscapes of her homeland, Banská Bystrica, and those of her adopted lands, the Langhe and Roero. Fragments of memory, suggestions, and atmospheres describe the visual universe of the artist, who paints to express and convey her moods.
