CSI in concert
thirty years after the "a day of fire" concert
After 25 years, the CSI - Consorzio Suonatori Indipendenti with Giovanni Lindo Ferretti, Massimo Zamboni, Gianni Maroccolo, Ginevra Di Marco, Francesco Magnelli and Giorgio Canali return to the stage with the tour entitled “In viaggio” and also return to Alba, in concert in Piazza Medford on Tuesday 8 September 2026 .
The Alba date of the tour organized by OTR Live was promoted by the Municipal Administration - Department of Culture and the "Beppe Fenoglio" Study Center in collaboration with the ANPI Alba-Bra section and the "Portami Via Festival".
This exclusive performance comes to Alba thirty years after the historic CSI concert in the Church of San Domenico on October 5, 1996: a memorable event dedicated to Beppe Fenoglio, still etched in the city's collective imagination. Giovanni Lindo Ferretti's unforgettable voice as he intoned: " Two thousand people took Alba on October 10th and two hundred lost it on November 2nd, 1944. "
That live concert became the album “La terra, la guerra, una questione privata” released on January 22, 1998 and dedicated to the memory and work of the writer Beppe Fenoglio, author of the novel “Una questione privata” among other things.
CSI's return to Alba is part of a journey of memory and culture that intertwines music, literature, and civic history. Alba, the city of Beppe Fenoglio and recipient of the Gold Medal of Military Valor for the Liberation War, thus celebrates the thirtieth anniversary of CSI's concert, titled "Un giorno di fuoco" (1996), a tribute to one of Beppe Fenoglio's most significant texts.
A concert that is more than just music, but an opportunity to reaffirm the founding values of democratic life, through one of the most profound and coherent artistic experiences on the contemporary Italian scene.
