"Caveman," the monologue show known as "Defending the Caveman," was the longest-running in Broadway history. The fruit of three years of study in anthropology, prehistory, psychology, sociology, and mythology, the original play, written by playwright and star of the American version Rob Becker, premiered on March 26, 1995, at the Helen Hayes Theater in New York City. After two years and 702 performances, it became the longest-running monologue in Broadway history.

This prehistoric look at the battle of the sexes is a humorous study of couple dynamics, exploring, with a strong irony, the misunderstandings between men and women and how these differences can lead to misinterpretations. It's first and foremost the ability to "identify" with the stories that sparks laughter.
