On Saturday, March 28, the MUDI – Alba Diocesan Museum offers guided tours of the Romanesque bell tower of Alba Cathedral. Diocesan Museum guides will accompany visitors up to the 45-meter-high bell tower, climbing the ancient staircase between the two 10th- and 12th-century bell towers. After admiring the city of Alba from above, they will descend and continue with a visit to the archaeological trail located in the basement of the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. This will allow participants to discover important Roman and medieval remains, including the paving of the Alba Pompeia decumanus and the 6th-century baptismal font.
The afternoon will conclude with a snack in the flower garden of the Cathedral rectory, where they can enjoy herbal teas and local products.
